We provide direct billing to most insurance companies.
If your insurance company is not set up for direct billing please be prepared with an alternate form of payment.
Please be sure ask your insurance provider whether massage therapy is covered by your company’s health plan.
Massage therapists will ask you to complete a health and history form which is emailed to you prior the treatment.Once the treatment has been determined, the RMT will leave the room to allow you the privacy to get onto the table and make yourself comfortable. Before re-entering the room to begin the treatment, your therapist will knock on the door to ensure you're ready.
No. You can receive an effective, therapeutic massage regardless of what clothing you choose to remove. Your comfort is our top priority
Experiencing sore or tight muscles is normal after a massage, especially if it has been a while since your last massage, especially if it is your first time. Massage is like an exercise: It forces blood into your muscles, bringing nutrients and removing toxins. Massage triggers a release of lactic acid stored in tight muscles, which can create a temporary feeling of soreness.
One massage per month is the recommended frequency for preventative and maintenance. But If you have specific condition or need that demands it, your RMT will design a customized treatment plan which may involve more or less frequent massages.
No, massage therapy is so much more. If you suffer from sore muscles or the feeling of knots in your back, therapeutic massage techniques specifically target this discomfort to restore your body back to a tension-free state. Most therapeutic massages are performed in a clinical setting rather than at a spa, unlike relaxation massages. The goal of a therapeutic massage is to treat a health issue, rather than simply helping you to relax. Many people describe therapeutic massages as uncomfortable but a “good pain” that helps relieve the ailment they are suffering from. You may experience tenderness as your therapist works through your tissue. They may also use different techniques depending on their experience and training. They may incorporate some aspects of deep tissue massage, trigger point work, and passive or resistive stretching techniques.
