FAQs for Your Comfort

Please reach out to us, if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No. You can book an appointment without a referral. However, some extended health insurance plans may require one for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider.

We provide direct billing to most insurance companies.

If your insurance company is not set up for direct billing please be prepared with an alternate form of payment.

Please be sure ask your insurance provider whether massage therapy is covered by your company’s health plan.

Your first visit begins with a brief health history and consultation with your therapist. We'll discuss your health concerns, treatment goals, and any areas of discomfort to create a treatment plan that's right for you.

You'll have privacy to undress to your comfort level and will be professionally draped throughout your treatment. Only the area being treated will be uncovered.

After your treatment, your therapist may recommend home care, stretches, hydration, or follow-up appointments to help you achieve the best results.

Wear whatever is comfortable to your appointment. Before your treatment, your therapist will leave the room while you undress to your comfort level. You will be professionally draped throughout the entire treatment, and only the area being treated will be uncovered. If your treatment involves multiple areas of the body, wearing less clothing may allow your therapist to work more effectively, but your comfort and privacy always come first.

Yes. Mild soreness after a massage is normal, especially if it's your first massage, it's been a while since your last treatment, or you received deeper pressure. Similar to how you may feel after exercise, massage places healthy stress on muscles and soft tissues as they adapt to treatment. This temporary soreness usually resolves within 24–48 hours. Drinking plenty of water, staying gently active, and following any home care recommendations from your therapist can help reduce discomfort.

One massage per month is the recommended frequency for preventative and maintenance. But If you have specific condition or need that demands it, your RMT will design a customized treatment plan which may involve more or less frequent massages.

Not at all. Massage therapy is used for much more than relaxation. It can help relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, improve mobility, support injury recovery, and promote overall health and well-being. Your Registered Massage Therapist will customize each treatment to meet your specific needs.
